Three Nigerians arrested over fake LDC mouthwash

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in collaboration with the Ghana Police have arrested three Nigerians, who are said to have flooded the Ghanaian market with a liquid formulation called, Light Duty Cleaner (LDC), claiming it is a medicinal preparation for oral hygiene.

A statement signed by Mr HuduMogtari, the Chief Executive Officer of the FDA said the men, who were arrested in the Northern Region, are currently helping the Police with investigations.

“The Northern Regional office of the FDA with the assistance of the Northern Regional Police has affected the arrest of three (3) Nigerian men on the matter and they are assisting the Police in their investigations”, the statement said.
