FICCI CASCADE firmly recognizes the importance of involving the country’s youth to foster awareness and in-depth understanding of counterfeiting and smuggling, ultimately enabling the formulation of effective strategies to address the escalating threats of illicit trade.
A youth awareness programme on the theme “Role of Youth in Making India Free from Smuggling & Counterfeiting” was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kochi. The programme encompassed three distinct competitions: Painting, Speech, and Jingle Writing. These competitions garnered enthusiastic participation from over 150 students representing various educational institutions in Kochi. It was truly inspiring to witness the impressive display of young prodigious talent showcasing their skills in combating the perils of counterfeiting and smuggling. The objective behind organizing these competitions was to raise awareness among the youth of our nation and solicit their support in fortifying our collective fight against illicit trade.
The esteemed panel of judges for the competition included Mr. Deep Chand IPS, Advisor, FICCI CASCADE and Former Special Commissioner of Police, New Delhi; Mr. P C Jha, Advisor, FICCI CASCADE and Former Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Ms. Deepa Ravishankar, English Lecturer, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala.
