The Border Security Force (BSF) in West Bengal seized over 1.6 kilograms of gold worth Rs 1.25 crore in two separate incidents along the India-Bangladesh border. One smuggler was apprehended with ten gold biscuits hidden on his person, while another was caught with four biscuits concealed in his slippers. Both individuals were promised meager sums for transporting the contraband.
