A 20-year-old man was arrested for illegally selling banned electronic nicotine delivery systems, commonly known as e-cigarettes, on Wednesday. E-cigarettes worth ₹2.52 lakh were seized from him.
The accused, identified as Mohammed Waqaruddin, a resident of Kalapathar, was arrested following a raid conducted by the South-East zone Task Force personnel and Kalapathar police. In addition to the illicit stock, the police also confiscated a two-wheeler and a mobile phone from him.
