In a significant operation conducted by Golakganj police on the Indo-Bangladesh border, a substantial quantity of illicit goods, including smuggled liquor and contraband was seized. The raid, spearheaded by Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar Nath under the directive of Officer-in-Charge Debojit Kalita, targeted the Nalia area.
During the operation, a total of 210 bottles of smuggled liquor were confiscated from the Nalia market alongside approximately 30 packets of illicit local liquor. Simultaneously, authorities raided the residence of Manik Chandra Roy in Nalia, leading to the discovery of 1 kg 700 grams of contraband dry. However, Roy managed to evade capture by fleeing the scene purportedly under the guise that the police had departed.
