The BSF Jawans have foiled the plans of smugglers and seized Phensedyl and Ganja along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the districts of Nadia and North 24 Parganas. The South Bengal Frontier of the BSF confiscated 259 bottles of Phensedyl and 1 kilogram of Ganja that smugglers attempted to smuggle from India to Bangladesh. The estimated value of the seized Phensedyl bottles is Rs.54,674/-
On May 3rd, 2023, Border Out Post Haldarpara, 54 Battalion troops spotted 2-3 smugglers carrying plastic bags and attempting to throw the goods over the border fence. The jawans followed them and asked them to stop, but the smugglers escaped into a dense mango orchard.
