Delhi Police busted a factory manufacturing fake automobile parts in Outer Delhi last week and seized nearly 2,000 fake brake disc pads.
The factory was manufacturing dupe parts of reputed car companies like Mahindra and Bosch.
One accused, identified as Inderjeet Sharm (40) was indulged in manufacturing fake auto parts of reputed brands, police said. “The machines used in manufacturing fake auto parts and about 2,000 fake brake disc pads and brake shoe was seized,” said DCP (Outer) Harendra Singh.
Police said that they received a complaint on June 10 regarding a factory manufacturing fake auto parts operating in Outer Delhi.
Technical surveillance was mounted and the owner of the factory was traced and arrested.
“During sustained interrogation, accused and owner Inderjeet disclosed that he previously used to work in a factory manufacturing auto parts of reputed auto companies, from where he developed the idea of making fake auto parts in the name of reputed companies to earn quick money,” said the DCP.
