The Customs officials at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Wednesday recovered gold worth Rs 1.8 crore from a flyer on his arrival here from Dubai. The smuggled gold was found concealed inside an emergency lamp he carried with him in his baggage.
The officials had earlier seized gold worth Rs 1.13 crore on Tuesday from three passengers who arrived here from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and busted similar smuggling attempts to recover gold worth Rs 2.8 crore in the last week.
