National Police have arrested 40 people in Marbella as allegedly responsible for a crime against intellectual property and have confiscated more than 14,000 counterfeit articles in the Puerto Banús street market, next to the Plaza Shopping Centre. Last year a similar operation was carried out, with almost the same number of people arrested.
In October 2023, officers carried out an action called ‘Almerca,’ which then ended up with 43 arrests and the confiscation and eventual destruction of 35,000 counterfeit products. On Wednesday, December 4, operation ‘Almerca 2’ took place with more or less the same haul.
