The Uttar Pradesh’s Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) recently busted a fake medicine gang involved in re-selling expired medicines, including pregnancy kits and blood pressure medications.
The FSDA and Meerut Police seized a massive stockpile of expired medicines, estimated to be worth around Rs 35 lakh, along with several specialised electronic printers allegedly used to tamper with expiry dates, posing serious health risks to unsuspecting consumers.
