Patna police seize huge amount of liquor from train.
PATNA: Liquor worth lakhs of rupees were seized and six people were held from a Duronto Express train in Barh area of Bihar’s Patna on Tuesday. According to the police, the liquor was being transported from West Bengal to the state, where liquor is prohibited. “We came to know that a Duronto Express stopped between Barh and Shahari Halt railway stations and liquor cartons were being unloaded. The police reached there and recovered a huge amount of liquor from the place,” Barh SHO Sanjeet Kumar said. Singh informed that the police were questioning the accused and trying to ascertain whether the driver and guard of the train are also involved in the case. Counting of the liquor cartons is underway. The police are further investigating the matter.
